Working and having a family is hard. But what is really tiring is that it is only mothers who pay a penalty when they become parents. It’s only mothers that pay an up to 60% salary penalty over the first five years of establishing their family. Only mothers see their retirement savings penalised because of the caregiving requirements they are fulfilling. And only mothers get sidelined in their careers because of the lack of quality part time roles.
In this podcast, we get curious about the system creating the motherhood penalty and about solutions. We will talk to some of the experts actively smashing it, find out their stories and figure out what we can learn from them.
